A lame way to add a new post

Still way too busy, but I realized the hard work is worth it, knowing the company I work for has a Chia Pet for one of their cartoon characters... and yes, this one is mine.

FOOP!

Spent the last couple of weeks planning, gathering material, and then constructing Foop for the Nickelodeon booth at Comic-Con. I'm surprised it weathered through the four days of Comic-Con and made it back in one piece. Branden was the man inside this walkaround costume, and everyone said he did a fantastic job being Foop. Maybe next year I'll finally make it to Comic-Con.

Curacao diving

Just got back from a week of diving in Curacao. It was the most relaxing diving I've ever experienced, with warm clear water, and a very healthy reef system supporting lots of animal life. If you're planning to go diving in Curacao, you really should look into diving the Western parts of the island where the corals are plentiful and healthy.

A frog fish. Can't believe I actually spotted this one.

Title card

Here's a title card I did for a Fairly Odd Parents episode called... well you can see it in the art work. The design was done by none other than Mr. Gordon Hammond.

New logo for the Sole Searchers Dive Club

This is the new logo for our dive club "Sole Searchers". The goal was to keep it somewhat humorous yet pleasing to the eye. The kooky Sole is breathing from a scuba tank. Now if that doesn't say scuba, I don't know what does. Just kidding of course.

Oh yes, and the slogan that will go with it.

A quick sketch of me by Gordon

After chatting with my coworker Gordon Hammond, saying to him "hey, how come you never draw me?" I came back to my desk where an e-mail with this sketch was already waiting. It must have been less than two minutes for him to draw this, and send the image to me via e-mail. Wow, now that's talent.

Just waaay too busy

Well, about a month left before my hiatus! Then it's BBQs and beach diving for a couple of months. Can't wait. Here's something I worked on for a Crimson Chin episode. It was a simple comic book look, but surprisingly challenging episode.
